DAHLIAS, CANNAS, AND ROSES

I RECEIVED MY SOIL TEST FOR MY FLOWER GARDEN AND IT SAYS THAT I NEED TO ADD POTASSIUM. I AM TAKEN MY BULBS OUT NOW AND AM WONDERING IF I SHOULD ADD IT NOW OR WAIT TIL NEXT SPRING WHEN I PUT THE BULBS BACK I AM USING EPSOM SALTS.

Hello It is recommended that you fertilize flower beds in the spring when there is new growth on the plants. Fertilizing in the late summer to early fall may cause the plant to break dormancy with a new flush of growth.
