This perennial, mountain bluet, is hardy from Zones 3-8. It is hardy in your area.
It grows best in full sun or partial shade in a well drained soil. Can get lanky in the shade. Can be propagated from seed or plants. See more about it http://www.missouribotanicalgarden.org/PlantFinder/PlantFinderDetails.aspx?kempercode=h570
