When to plant ryegrass

Asked October 11, 2018, 8:38 AM EDT

Can I plant (overseed) cold season perennial ryegrass. I though generally I could do it from October through mid November, but all the blogs I read talk about a daytime temperature of 60s. Am I to late to do it next weekend?

I would wait until next spring. Temps are going to be in the 40's for the next week. I am not optomistic about a long fall this year. Germination is very slow without warmth. It has also been very wet. Heavy rains tend to wash seed off lawns.
