Is this Symphyotrichum lanceolatum?

Asked October 8, 2018, 9:32 PM EDT

I have this pretty wildflower in various spots on the edge of our wooded lot and some coming up in my blackberry bramble. Is it Symphyotrichum lanceolatum? Some kind of old timey wildflower? Seems to come up later in summer to fall. Thank you for your help.

I can't tell 100% from a photo. It is very common so it is a good possibility. Below is a link with some additional information. It is present in almost every county in MI.
