I was just checking to see if consuffering was a typo. If you meant considering olive oil in albacore I have some thoughts. If you are canning your tuna raw pack (which most Master Food Preservers do) you do not need to add any liquid (oil or water). The tuna will make its own liquid as it cooks in the canner. If you are precooking your tuna before canning, yes you would need to add a liquid (again oil or water). Any type of oil can be used but note that canning intensifies flavors and herbs so the olive oil would have a stronger taste than regular vegetable or canola oil. Directions for precooking your tuna for canning can be found on the National Center for Home Food Preservation website at https://nchfp.uga.edu/how/can_05/tuna.html
