Weeds in empty pasture

Asked September 14, 2018, 11:51 AM EDT

Hello! My client is looking to identify these weeds and also get information on how to remove them. He is going to revamp a pasture to grow hay for his horses. Thanks!

The weed pictured with the purplish flower is Spotted knapweed. The other weed pictured appears to be in the ragweed species group.

Tillage could be used as a control measure before planting and establishment of forage species.
