Burying Beetle

I believe I have some burying beetles on my property. I trapped a mole and put it by the edge of the woods only to find these guys pulling it underground. Are they as rare as I have read?

The American burying beetle (Nicrophorus americanus) is rare and endangered but the species isn't likely to be found in Minnesota:
