Grass type growing in my yard

I have this Grass growing in different areas with in my regular lawn . Hey gross faster and all the other grasses can you tell me what it is and how to get rid of it thank you .

This looks like nutsedge. Technically not a grass (it's a sedge; the blades of which are angular instead of round), it can be controlled by either digging (it's very hard to get all the underground 'nutlets', or by use of a chemical branded 'Sedgehammer'.
