What to do with a "healthy" dead chicken?
Asked August 22, 2018, 9:52 PM EDT
I am about to euthanize four healthy chickens that have grown too old (denver urban chicken parent). I want to put the protein to use, but am not interested in eating or dressing/de-feathering them. I heard there might be a raptor rescue or some animal rescue that might take them? Any other ideas? I hate to just throw them out.
It was surprisingly hard to find information on this question online, but it must happen to a lot of people.

Unfortunately the raptor center does not take chickens anymore, due to the issue with avian flu. So at this point I do not have another solution for you.
