Strawberries - no fruit

Asked August 20, 2018, 8:05 AM EDT

My brother has a 4 ft square bed of strawberries. Full sun. He covered it with chicken wire because the rabbits were eating the plants. Iin the Spring, there were many flowers. But over the summer, thet just dried up, none of the flowers produced fruit. The leaves look very healthy. ???

Probably a lack of pollination is the cause. https://extension.umn.edu/fruit/growing-strawberries-home-garden Please look over the things to do to get fruit and see if something can be change to make a crop more likely. Also some strawberries are spring bearing and others are everbearing. The type of strawberry will determine when they produce fruit.
