Removing yellowjacket nest behind siding/trim at our front door

Asked August 4, 2018, 2:16 PM EDT

A colony of jellowjackets have begun nesting in the space behind the siding & trim around our front door. They have attacked and stung people trying to use the front door. We tried spraying the areas with detergent/peppermint solution to discourage the jellowjackets, but they just continue to come back, and those inside the nest behind the siding & trim appear unaffected. How do we get rid of the nest/colony behind our front door trim?

You may want to contact several pest control companies for removal. If the nest is in a wall void, a professional pest control company should be consulted. You do not want them to overwinter indoors and cause damage.
