tree seepage

I have noticed one of my trees seeping a brown liquid over the last few years. In one area, the liquid puddles at the bottom of the tree. I believe it has started to spread to other areas. For the most part the tree appears healthy and provides a lot of shade, however, I have noticed some yellowing and falling leaves this summer season. This looks like what is called slime flux or wet wood.
