This looks like it could be a type of hickory (Carya), There are multiple types, including Mockernut Hickory (Carya tomentosa), Bitternut Hickory, Pignut Hickory, etc.

The leaves are usually compound meaning multiple leaves on a stem, and that arrangement gives clues that we can't see in your photos.
