Hello, my blackberries (only some) have parts of them that are white - the berry with the white does not seem to ripen and remains pale. If I leave that berry on the plant it will get soft but remain pale. If this something that I can spray for or cure? Thank you. Sue

Your blackberries are "suffering" from the heat, the same as all the rest of us.

So, the good news is that you don't need to spray because this is not a disease. You may be able to prevent or, at least moderate, further damage while this hot spell continues by rigging temporary shade about 18 inches above the plants.

Because plants use water more rapidly than normal during hot weather, it may help to water more often for a while. However, avoid standing water and /or saturated soil.
