Dying Japanese Maple tree

Asked July 24, 2018, 11:55 AM EDT

Hi, Is there a way I can bring back to life my Japanese Maple? It has some fruitful foliage but isn’t sprouting like usually.

Seeing photos of the tree would be helpful. But from what you have written it sounds like your Japanese maple is really struggling. Once that begins to happen it is difficult to reverse the process. Prune out the dead or dying branches and evaluate what remains. If the tree looks sparse then it should be removed. We would be happy to look at photos of the tree. Attach them to this response.
