Green tree frog

Asked July 23, 2018, 7:45 AM EDT

I had a tiny lime green frog with tan colored feet on my house siding last night. It looks like a green tree frog but do these occur in Michigan?

Without a good photograph it is very difficult to declare your frog to be a green tree frog. The species is not known to occur in the wild in Michigan, but many are kept as pets and there is always a possibility of an escape. The gray tree frog, a common Michigan native, can change colors to many shades, including green. I have attached a photo of this species.
