Tree frogs are silent!

Asked July 18, 2018, 3:39 AM EDT

Has there been a problem with the tree frogs in Tillamook county? I heard them early in the season, but the nights have been quiet for over a month. I really miss them?

Thank you for your question. Tree frogs or Pacific Chorus Frogs call for quite a few months during breeding season. Since you are near the coast that can last into late spring. Now that warm weather is upon us they are getting on with life, feeding and staying moist. You may hear an occasional call, however it is different than the one during breeding season. But fear not, next spring the chorus will begin again.
