Canning tuna @ home

How many pounds of tuna on the fin = 1/2 pint? What is the best time to can tuna? Thanks

The general rule of thumb is that 1 pound of fish on the fin will yield approximately 1/2 pint. However you might get more if the fish is larger and also if it is professionally filleted.
