What is the best method to kill or control wild grape vines?

It partly depends on where it is growing. if it is growing up a desirable tree or shrub, Cut it off and pull it out of the plant. You can apply a herbicide such as glyphosate to the cut stumps with a paintbrush. It may need retreatment as additional growth develops. Be cautious with non-selective herbicides . They don't discriminate between plants you want to keep and those you don't want to keep. spraying a herbicide such as glyphosate on any green tissue or thin-barked trees or shrubs can kill the plant or cause severe injury. Herbicides work best when the plants you wish to get rid of are actively growing
