Hello there... Yesterday morning I saw this yellow stuff in the soil of the tomato plant (pictures 1 & 2) and didn’t get a chance to post to ask. It appeared only in that container and no of the others. Then this morning the yellow stuff turned into this yellow foamy blob (pictures 3)

This looks like a type of slime mold, dog vomit fungus. The fungus starts as brightly colored masses that turn into dark spores. They dry out and turn into a white powdery mass. This fungi is feeding on bacteria growing in mulch or organic matter that is in the pot. Simply scoop off the top layer and put in a compost pile or garbage or a spot in the yard away from any existing mulch. No other control is necessary.
