Tomatoes losing leaves

Asked July 11, 2018, 5:06 PM EDT

Hi, My tomatoes are losing leaves from the bottom up (see photos). Is this normal? Is it a problem and, if so, is there anything that can be done? Thank you

Tomatoes are susceptible to several fungal diseases. Your photo is not detailed enough to determine which, but probably Septoria leaf spot and early blight (or both). In either case, it is too late for control, but in the future you can reduce these infections with a combination of crop rotation, careful cleanup and sanitation, good watering practices, mulching and air space around plants.
