Hopefully NOT Aster Yellow

Asked July 10, 2018, 4:02 PM EDT

I was told the other day that my Echinacea has Aster Yellows. I have never heard about it until now and not liking what I have read. Is this Asters Yellows? Do I really have to destroy the plants? I walked around my neighborhood and it seems like a lot of other gardens Echinacea is looking like mine. Thank You, Sam

Here is an answer to a similar question posted in 2014.

Based upon what we can see in the photos, we suspect mite damage rather than aster yellows.

Thank you Bob!!!!! I will read up more on Mites. I think what I did read I don't have to destroy the plants? :).
