Berytidae (stilt bugs) destroying flowers

Asked July 10, 2018, 6:34 AM EDT

Hello, I am wondering if you can recommend a control method to save my nicotiana alata and gaura flowers, which have been overtaken by stilt bugs, as shown in photos. I recall seeing these bugs last summer, but they didn’t cause nearly as much damage last year. I practice organic gardening; any advice greatly appreciated.

Stilt bugs would not cause problems with your flowers.

In order to diagnose the problem, we need to see clear photos of the problem itself. Please send photos of each plant showing affected parts but not already dead parts.
