Evergreen Tree Problems 2 of 2

Asked July 9, 2018, 9:12 PM EDT

This is the second evergreen - though a different type. The tree is tall --- maybe 60 feet. After this winter - the inside of the branches turned brown on many branches and some of the lower branches were totally brown. We weren't sure whether this was from the winter or not - but it doesn't seem to be going away. Pictures follow

Leyland cypress suffered a lot of winter damage from the severe temperatures last winter. They are not entirely cold hardy here, though most winters they are fine. Here is the situation: https://extension.umd.edu/news/brown-leyland-cypress-winter-damage

Prune out dead branches and water them during droughts this summer if you can.
