Tree Ring Fungus/Spores on grass

Asked July 7, 2018, 4:37 PM EDT

We had our backyard boxelder tree removed last fall :( Stump was ground, and we first noticed white mold on the chips from the grinding. We tried twice to plant new grass seed in the recession, left after we dug out a significant amount of fungus contaminated soil. Still more fungus spores appeared! It grows the spores following the patterns of "fairy rings" We would like to neutralize the fungus so that new grass can take ahold and grow! We are now leaving the area open to dry out and we wonder if there are any environmentally product to treat the fungus before we attempt another grant planting. Thank you in advance for any help or leads you can give us!
