Ground Cherries, replanting

Asked July 7, 2018, 12:31 PM EDT

Hello and thank you for your service! (BTW - I saw your site on "Garden Time TV", my favorite show, and Jan is the BEST!! My question is if I can replant four new Ground Cherries that I planted this Spring. They're doing wonderfully well happily growing in four pots. They're already growing fruit. However I'd like to move them to another location in my garden. Is this something you'd recommend and if so when shall I replant them please? Thanks so much, Claudia :0)

You can definitely plant them in the ground, but if they are happy in the pots, you could simply move them to the new location and keep them in the pots. If you do decide to plant in the ground, you will want to make sure the plants get plenty of water, especially when it gets really hot as it is planned to be this weekend.
