Vintage Cooker - Kook Kwick - request for instruction manual

Asked July 3, 2018, 4:45 PM EDT

Hello. I have recently acquired a, "Safety Lock Kook Kwick Steam Pressure Cooker". Unfortunately, it did not come with a manual / users instruction book. Nor does it appear to have a seal. The model number is indicated on the bottom of the pot - Model No. 606.222 39. I would be grateful for any assistance you may have. Thank you, Teresa.

If you are going to can in the Kook Kwik, I would get the gauge tested at an Extension office first to make sure it is working accurately. It can be replaced if it is not functioning properly. Both Clark and Clackamas County offices offer that. They should also be able to take a look at the gaskets and safety features, too.

Sears assumed Kook Kwik into their line of merchandise. They may have a manual. Here is a note from their website: http://www.cookingandcanning.net/seandwapa.html

If your model number is not listed email or call us with your model number.
We will cross references it, and let you know the parts you need, and add it to the parts list.

This is a generic Extension manual for pressure canning: It will have the current instructions for venting and timing. https://catalog.extension.oregonstate.edu/pnw421

Let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck!
