My Miss Kim Lilac is ill
I planted this Miss Kim lilac tree in May of this year. At first it looked great. Now this is its current state. I’m not sure if I am over watering it? I haven’t watered it for the last two days and the soil still has moisture to it. I am located in Missouri and we do have sweltering heat. It has afternoon shade and morning sun.

It looks like there may have been a bit a powdery mildew, common in lilacs but I suspect that the tree has suffered sever transplant shock with the hot weather we have been receiving. It also looks like it is grafted in the last picture that you sent, could be that the graft failed.
What would be the best course of action? Is it salvageable? Thanks!
I don't think it will come back.
