Something is eating my laurel hedge

Asked June 29, 2018, 12:09 PM EDT

Dear OSU Extension- Something is eating my laurel hedge, and I wanted your expertise on how to treat the plants. Additionally, three of the plants are marginally smaller than the others. I wondered if that is a product of the disease/bugs, or if they are a different species. Please help. Thank you!

Thank you for your question. Without knowing when they arose, the best I can suggest is the shot hole, described here: http://ipm.ucanr.edu/PMG/GARDEN/FRUIT/DISEASE/shothole.html It happens in our cool, wet weather. Hopefully, the above article will help to prevent next year. Good luck!
