Getting rid of

How to get rid of bulb plants without digging. The bulbs are 6 to 8 inches deep and are small in size (dime size) also have another plant not as deep and (quarter) size. Both have white bulbs and grow wild with purple flowers.
It sounds as if you have some of the overly enthusiastic bulbs which grow here in the northwest.
If you don't want to dig them out, you must remove the leafy growth shortly after it appears, say, about every 2 weeks. By doing so, you will gradually starve the bulbs.
You can do that using repeated sprays of herbicide (weed killer) or by manually removing the leaves.
You must be persistent for the next several years.
If you allow the leaves to grow for longer than several weeks, the result will be to strengthen, and enlarge, the bulbs.
Although you don't want to dig them out, doing so would give you a head start. If you're unable to dig them yourself, consider hiring someone to help with the dig.
