Voles are a type of mouse (meadow or pine) that feeds on roots of trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants. They are not insect eaters. We recommend using snap-type mousetraps to reduce their population. Use apple slices or peanut butter as the bait. Place them in surface runways or burrows or near the silver dollar sized holes they make. No poison is recommended.
