Weed or desirable herbaceous plant?

Asked June 25, 2018, 3:32 PM EDT

Hi Fellow Master Gardeners! I have a plant that has popped up in a couple of my potted plant areas. Because the leaf looked interesting, I decided to let a couple of them grow. I had planted a variety of seeds in a few pots but not sure what all was in the seed mix. I am not sure if this is just a weed that got in there or what. Leaves have 5 to seven leaflets, there are small thorns on the petioles and bristles on the stem, and now I see it is about to flower. Can you help me identify this lil guy? He/she is about 36 inches tall at the moment. Thanks
