Spider Identification- Dunkirk, Calvert County

Asked June 23, 2018, 7:06 PM EDT

Hello, I came across a spider tonight while walking in the park. The spider was a matte/flat black, with root-beer brown legs. It looks most like a female mouse spider (Google), but I couldn’t find anything similar in my Audobon spider & insect guide. A few young children were poking it with sticks, and it would rear up and wave its front appendages (?) and pincers (?) but didn’t jump. Any information would be appreciated! Thank you,
