Yellowing Leaves Redbud

Asked June 22, 2018, 6:20 PM EDT

We have a cercis canadensis in our yard that is about 10 years old. This year the spring and early summer have been unusually rainy. The leaves over most of the tree show yellowing along the edge accompanied by some browning. Soil pH is about 7.2 I suspect the rain has leached too many nutrients from the soil, causing a nutrient deficiency. What do you think?

The foliage does not look that bad. We recommend monitoring the tree for growth and additional symptoms. You can submit more photos if need be. The only way to know if the tree has nutrient deficiencies is to test the soil
