Holes on my chilli plants leaves

Asked June 21, 2018, 1:05 PM EDT

Hello! I have planted some chilli seeds in my backyard in College Park. However the leaves of the plants are showing holes. Please see the attached picture of the same. Is this because of some pest feeding on the leaves (although I didn't spot any) or due to some lack of nutrients in the soil? What can I do? I would like to avoid using any chemicals as far as possible. Thanks
