Infusing lavender into foods
I have been experimenting with different popcorn toppings and the latest was coconut oil infused with lavender and vanilla bean. I'm not sure if it was because the coconut oil was overpowering or if I didn't use enough lavender, but the lavender flavor was not as strong as I was hoping. What is the best way to infuse/extract lavender into foods/oils? Thanks!
I have not been successful locating details for the best method of infusing lavender and vanilla into oil for food products. It isn’t something we have much information about.
I did come across some information from Mountain Rose Herbs in Eugene.
They may have people on staff with experience doing this that could provide some insights.
