Thanks. That makes sense. Can you spray just around the affected area or do you have to do the whole tree? What about treating the soil also with Captan?
It is too late to spray anything this year. Sanitation is extremely important so make sure all leaves that fall now and in the fall are cleaned up and disposed of in the garbage. You will note that spraying needs to begin at first sign of any green in the spring...just when the leaves barely begin to emerge. Treating the soil is not necessary as this is on the branches of the tree.
