Lawn weeds

Asked June 15, 2018, 7:35 AM EDT

Hi there! I use Scotts Weed and Feed and Amine 400 2, 4-D weed killer to control the weeds in my yard. The clover and creeping charlie are mostly responsive, but there's one weed that doesn't seem to respond to these two products. I can't figure out what it is (and thus how to deal with it). Any help is greatly appreciated!! Kyle

This is stiltgrass, a foreign invasive weed that spreads very quickly. If you are seeing this in beds, pull and don't let it go to seed.

In the lawn, you can use some of the same herbicides you would use for crabgrass. Click here for more information: https://extension.umd.edu/hgic/problems/japanese-stiltgrass
