Identify a (insect egg?)

These growths (?) growths were in soil) bark dust. Clumps of tiny fuzzy orange/bronze nubs. When pressing with thumb nail, tiny white (eggs) in clear liquid ozed out. Bugs? Eggs? Lichen? What? Thanks a mil

Unfortunately, the items are too small to identify via images. I doubt they are of any importance.

Even so,you can take them to the Multnomah County Master Gardeners who will give them a first-hand look.The office is in Montgomery Park, 2701 NW Vaughn St. Suite 450, Portland, OR 97210. Hours are 10 AM to 2 PM, Monday through Friday, closed holidays.
