I have a Chestnut tree grown from a seed from the American Chestnut F. The tree is about 10' tall. the leaves are coming out on the tips of the limbs, they are curling up (seem tender ) then the sun dries them out. I think there is something going on
I'm not sure. No specific diseases come to mind with that description. My guess it is an environmental issue. My suggestion would be to bring in to the Extension Office a 2 feet section of branch that has some of the symptoms you described. We can send it to the UK lab and get an exact id on the problem. This service is free. Our office is locate at 1041 Old Ekron Road in Brandenburg.
