We inherited Asparagus in a recent home purchase. The plant is growing quickly and I want to know if I can trim it to a reasonable size without damaging it.

You can cut asparagus until the first of July usually. If you cut back all the stems that have gone to seed you might still get a few stalks to eat but after that you need to leave them. If they are really tall and totally gone to seed it would probably be best to just leave it as it is. Here is a link to some info about asparagus.
