Boxwood and other shade shrubs

I want to plant evergreen shrubs on the North face of my house to make a hedge. I get sun around there only in the late afternoon. I would like the mature shrub to stand around 4-5 feet tall, and I don't mind pruning it. Do you have any suggestions? I've also considered a deciduous plant, snowberry. Does it like sun or shade? (I see mixed answers to that question).

My recommendation would be yew. Very shade tolerant, comes in many sizes. Its only downside is that it is susceptible to winter burn.
