What happened to my Hydrangeas

Asked June 11, 2018, 8:00 AM EDT

Please let me know What happened to this Hydrangea. Flowers are there yet they look weird. It’s full sun in this area, so I have a row of variety Hydrangeas, and I water them frequently every other day. Other Hydrangeas are normal, but this. Thanks in advance.

Your hydrangea looks healthy, so we assume you are referring to the flower shape.

Most hydrangeas you see have a large solid flower head known as a 'mophead'. This one of your hydrangeas is probably the same species, but has a different flower head known as a 'lacecap.' Many people love the light airy look, and enjoy the fact that it is a little more unusual.
