moths - invasion of tiny moths

Asked June 8, 2018, 10:10 PM EDT

for about a month I have been swatting tiny critters that look like pantry moths, but there is no evidence of them in pantry (pasta, flour, etc). At first I thought bird seed (stored on porch) might have been source, but that's clean too. Tonight I read on our community list serve that several neighbors are experiencing the same problem. Is there a cause/solution?

Please read through our page on pantry pests for a list of different products that can harbor them: https://extension.umd.edu/hgic/pantry-pests Follow the links at the bottom, too.

You do not mention where you are see the moths. Also, what do they look like?

Please attach photos to a response to help with id. Be sure they are in focus.
