Cyanotoxins and garden

Asked June 6, 2018, 3:38 PM EDT

Hello, Will the cyanotoxins that are in our city water effect the vegetables that I am growing in my garden or my fruit trees? They are currently producing and I have a daughter in the "vulnerable" category. Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

No, you can irrigate as usual. While the water is deemed unsafe for your daughter I would avoid using it to wash veggies that you have harvested and using for consumption.
