Lilly’s and Alliums have Disappeared!

Asked June 4, 2018, 8:34 PM EDT

I have had 2 large beds of Oriental and Asiatic Lillie’s and a separate large bed of Alliums for 5 years. They’ve been in part shade in amended compost and steer manure. They’ve always thrived with little care. This year there are none! There is no sign of gophers. I’ve done nothing different. Any ideas? They haven’t come up at all. I live lust N of La Pine.

Hi, I would dig down in the area to see if the bulbs are still present and the condition of them (eaten or rotting, etc). If they are not there then some sort of wildlife may have gotten to them, squirell or something else.

I cannot think of any other reason they would not be coming up?

Thanks
