Dying needled trees

Asked May 31, 2018, 3:30 PM EDT

I had three juniper trees suddenly turn brown and die this spring. Now I notice that many of the yards in town (Cloquet) have dead and dying cedars, junipers and others. Do you know what is killing them and if so, is there anything we can do to save our other trees?

Evergreens seem to have had a hard time this winter. The browning is probably winter damage. The trees may recover, or they may not. The only thing you can do is wait and see (and keep them watered). Read here about protecting them in the future:
