ever bearing strawberries

Should ever bearing strawberries be pruned annually? I have read that they should not be pruned; only June bearing strawberries should be pruned. Is this true?

Yes, prune. These are not long-producing plants. Remove blooms the year of planting, and remove suckers all years.
