Gardening near a fox den

Asked May 29, 2018, 4:36 PM EDT

We live in Bethesda, very down-county, half a block from the Capital Crescent trail. New for us: seeing a healthy-looking fox in our backyard several times a week. We are pretty sure it has a den on our back slope. Also on that slope is some all-too-healthy honeysuckle that we would like to cut down/ dig out, etc. to get rid of it. Do we need to wait until “our” Fox no longer needs the den before we work on the honeysuckle? When would that likely be OR how do you suggest getting rid of the honeysuckle?? Thanks in advance.
