What are these depressions in my lawn?

These are at my cabin near Finlayson in Pine County. I have been there many tears and this is new to me. I have several feral cats at the place so I do not think they are made by rabbits or birds. They appear to be dug out, like nests of some sort and there are several, just around the house in the lawn. They do not seem fresh - like maybe they were dug before spring. See attached photos.

My guess would be skunks or raccoons. The cats probably will leave both of these critters alone. Read here:

You can either patch with some seed or buy some patching sod.
